More than just business partners, Oscar Abarca Ramos and Kelvin Amaya are cousins who grew up with a shared vision: to build something that would last.
With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, their journey didn't start in a boardroom. It started in the field. From carrying lumber to welding steel beams, they learned every aspect of the trade from the ground up.
Driven by a desire to innovate and provide higher quality structural solutions, they combined their strengths. Oscar’s visionary leadership and Kelvin’s technical precision formed the foundation of Coastal VA Storage. They faced challenges head-on, turning a small family operation into a nationwide leader in Heavy Steel Erection.
Today, they continue to lead with the same work ethic they started with—proving that with family and hard work, no structure is too complex to build.

2004
The Foundation
Oscar and Kelvin begin their careers in general construction. Working side-by-side on job sites, they master the fundamentals of structural integrity and project management, gaining a reputation for reliability.
2009
Coastal VA Storage is Born
Identifying a gap in the market for specialized self-storage erection, they launch Coastal VA Storage. The focus shifts from general construction to becoming experts in Heavy Steel and multi-level facilities.
2015
Conquering the Water
Not content with only land-based success, the cousins expand their expertise to the water. They launch their Marine Construction division, applying their structural knowledge to build piers, docks, and bulkheads with the same precision.
Today
Nationwide Leaders
Coastal VA Storage now operates across the United States. Oscar and Kelvin lead a massive team of skilled erectors, delivering millions of square feet of storage space while maintaining the family values the company was built on.
